As simple as that, I went blonde.
I transitioned from a beach bum with a natural balayage, to a white blonde babe.. through to a ‘darker route’ effortlessly blonde, blonde. Did you think I could fit so many looks into one sentance? No, neither did I.
A couple of weeks ago, I walked into my usual hairdressers Live True and decided to take the plunge for a blonder look. My regular salon is Vauxhall but Live True also have salons in a few other parts of London depending on where you’re living. Vauxhall is always a chilled environment with the friendliest team - making every hour in the salon completely worth it. I also love the fact that theres a more sociable table so you can work and chat without staring at yourself in a mirror!
So we started off with a ‘palette cleanser’ and bleached my entire head to a neutral platinum. It took quite a while because of the bleach, treatments, olaplex and toner but it was so worth it. (before and after above)
The platinum lasted for around a week before I headed back into the salon for a slight change, adding a slightly darker blonde to my roots for an ‘overgrown’ look. The finished product if you will. We decided to fade the roots to a darker blonde and give the lengths and ends an ash toner. Essentially making it easy to manage but with the lighter look, and better fitting to my instagram filter, naturally.
I’m completely obsessed and cant get enough of the colour. I’ve upped my haircare game and invested in new products to keep it looking fresh and vibrant - all of which will be up on my YouTube channel within the next few weeks!
