What do you give a girl that loves coffee and movie nights with a takeaway if she’s off on a night out? An espresso martini… with a twist of course.
It’s no secret that I used to hide away from socialising to watch Stranger Things on the sofa. But my 2018 New Years resolution is coming early and I’m trying to make a change. My ‘out out’ wardrobe is coming out of hiding and I’m favouring a few drinks with good friends this party season.
I’m spending Christmas in South Africa this year, which means family comes first, with some cocktails on the side. Luckily, we have a bar at home so we can enjoy a night out.. without moving further than the back garden with a speaker and some fairy lights. I’ll be honest, I’m a family girl and this is definitely my favourite way to spend Christmas. Does anything beat family nights when the tunes go all 80s and the cocktails are flowing?!
Of course the festive season involves some fancy cocktails. I’m a fan of rum and creamy liqueurs, so when RumChata got in touch to see if I wanted to try their delicious cocktail recipes, how could I say no?! A rum based cream liqueur with vanilla, cinnamon and spices which is the perfect base for some festive drinks.. or alone over ice. We decided on the RumChata Lattini (think espresso martinis but creamier) which were perfectly mixed by Adrian’s brother who happens to make the MEANEST cocktail and they tasted like pure heaven.
If you’d like to make your own RumChata Lattini, you just need:
1 part vanilla vodka
1 part coffee liqueur
1 part espresso
1 part RumChata
And a quick shake later, pour it into a martini glass and enjoy - I also added coffee beans so they looked a little more fancy!
The easiest but most delicious drink for the festive season whether you’re drinking at home or not. Are you a fan of cocktails? RumChata makes the perfect addition to a White Russian or espresso martini. Why not grab the girls and show off your skills?
Such gorgeous photo’s girl! xx
Ah this looks like so much fun!
