4 Ways To Style A Two Piece Suit For Everyday.

Hello there.. aren’t you chuffed I’m back to regular posting? I had an accidental break due to some things happening but I’m now sat scheduling my life away so a post is never missed again. So far I’m as scheduled as mid-December 😉

Anyway, todays post is one that I’ve had planned for quite a while and I can’t wait to finally be sharing it with you.

Today, its all about the two piece suit. Something that I’ve always wanted to style, but never felt confident or ‘cool’ enough to actually pull off. Theres a certain je ne sais quoi about women in suits and this Autumn I couldn’t resist trying a couple in a style thats true to me: casual, easy to wear everyday and 60% monochrome!

LOOK ONE

The first look is strongly focused on accessories and features this gorgeous black satin tux style suit from Dorothy Perkins. I fell a bit in love with the classic look and despite loving the suit as a whole, its easy to style as seperates too. Think smart trousers with a tee and trainers or the blazer with a knit and jeans.

You might notice the slight change of style with the red boots. They came from Next and I couldn’t resist the faux suede, bright coloured beauty. I mean.. just look at them! The bag is also a pretty bold statement, Topshop did pretty well to dupe the classic JW Anderson and price it at only £35. Its such a handy size for everyday and works perfectly whether you’re smart or casual.

LOOK TWO

I feel like this one kind of screams “I’m a workaholic but look totally chill about it” - which is half true because I have zero level of chill at the moment. You might have seen this suit in a recent Topshop haul actually. I picked it up a few weeks ago and honestly love it so much. Andddd it only costs £60 for the entire two piece!!

The layers might have to increase for the arctic temperatures right now but I love the classic colour and smart-casual accessories. Kudos to me for making plimsoles look smart, right?! In honesty, this is such the most simple styling option for the post but definitely (to me) the most effective.

LOOK THREE

This one is so smart and sophisticated. Its the glasses isn’t it?! Or maybe just the black satin suit is something you’re also crazy for.

Again with the burgundy tones and alllll black everything else. The simple ribbed turtleneck compliments the satin pleats of the trousers so nicely. Meanwhile the patent boots are a statement, but subtle giving just the right amount of fashion. These pictures are actually my favourites of the post with so much sass and every detail being shown perfectly. From the burgundy overcoat to the classic bag - yesssss.

LOOK FOUR

This is the “please hand me the most stylish but warm coat possible”, which happens to be an oversized wool number from Weekday. I chose to team the coat with the burgundy suit because the colours are so complimentary to each other. The suit is such a statement that it almost rivals the coat with simple accessories to match.

I’ll be honest, its a pretty big favourite of mine.
