Frilled Hems and Rain.

I’m not sure why it surprised me that it rained in England, but I definitely didn’t expect to be layering up my outfits with knitwear before September hits. And I’m pretty sure the last couple of years have been warm through until October!?

ps - these pictures are pre-hair dye and will be for another couple of posts!

This jumpsuit is something I’d never normally have gone for but I love it. It was actually picked up for a wedding that I went to and even though black is almost a wedding sin, styled with the right accessories and shoes - it could definitely pass the test. But besides that, it’s a great style for everyday. I’m mentally planning ways that it can be worn into the Autumn in various layers and this look is one because its definitely not warm enough in the UK right now for much else.

Extreme cropped jumpers have made an appearance lately and I find them a bit tricky to style unless you want half your midriff showing - so this is a great option. It gives my arms a little warmth while adding something more slouchy to the somewhat tailored jumpsuit. It could also look great with high waisted trousers or a t-shirt dress underneath.. ooh the possibilities!

And finally the shoes, oh the beautiful shoes. I’m obsessed with the pompoms even though they’ve become my boyfriend repellers this Summer. Adi absolutely hates them but I’ve been wearing them almost everyday - clearly it’s style over love, kids! They’ve actually sold out completely now but you can find similar alternatives online like (these) from Mango! Sorry girls, I must have picked some winners!!
