Hello, hi, how are you doing? I hear it was pretty exotic in England this weekend.. and by exotic I mean its hotter than usual and actually a similar temperature to here in Cape Town!
This post is brought to you from outside the most aesthetically pleasing beach huts in Muizenberg which you probably already saw on my Instagram last week. The huts have been around since the Victorian days and used to be used as changing huts, in bright colours that give the beach a little happiness. I fell in love with a little yellow one so it became my ‘home’ for this shoot and I was mentally planning how I could fit some cute Pinterest style decor inside.
I know, who am I? Since when did I like colour!? I’m sure by now you’ve realised that I’m a sucker for monochrome but in recent weeks, I’ve been slowly adding in pieces here and there which echo my usual style but are slightly less panda and slightly more ‘ray of sunshine’.. if thats even a real thing. I’m just making up sayings here!
My new found love was definitely sparked coming to South Africa. Everything here is much more vibrant and colourful whether its the houses, decor or clothing and its actually made me realise how dull England can be, but thats a story for another time. Admittedly this outfit isn’t very colourful but the backdrop was too beautiful to resist - how often do you come across cute little multi coloured beach huts, after all?
The top in this post is from an Australian brand named Cotton On, we don’t have it in the UK but I’m addicted! They sell everything from basics, trends, gym, undies, lounge/sleep, menswear, accessories - pretty much every part of your outfit for every occasion. This top was in their Summer sale for R200 which is approximately £8 and I fell in love. Its the perfect floaty summer piece that goes with pretty much everything in my wardrobe and of course I paired it with my high waisted skinny jeans and some classic round sunglasses - typical Jess.
