Happy almost-quarter-of-a-century to me!
As the age of 24 approached my eternal teenage mind hasn’t looked forward to being a real adult. At the age of 14, I was determined that ten years later I would be “married with a house and a proper job” which we all know isn’t the scenario. There is no ring on my finger, no mortgage draining my bank account and a proper job? Well, watch this space.
I think my young brain was too eager to grow up and become an adult, when my thoughts should have been about having fun and appreciating new experiences. There is nothing that would please me more than to stay at this age forever to properly soak up each moment, savouring the experiences that I’m old enough to appreciate but young enough to explore..
There has been plenty of life-changing moments and unforgettable memories since turning 23 and I hope that 24 is just as exciting.
Heres to being twenty-something and (fairly) okay with it!
