BEING YOURSELF.

Images by Comb.

Without sounding like the most cheesy of cheese balls, there is nothing more satisfying than just being yourself and feeling completely okay about it. I’m the worst for comparing myself to others and feeling like a nobody in a world of somebodies but its that kind of negativity that just ends up making me feel down when I should be happy and positive. From now on, I am actively combatting my flaws and becoming the best version of me. I am still very much in the learning stages of knowing exactly who I am, but finding out is becoming an interesting adventure.

There are too many rules about what we should do or ways we should act and rules are always!made to be broken. We spend too long dwelling on the prospect of fitting in that we often lose ourselves in the process. If you don’t want to wear that dress, don’t. If you want to write a post about something thought provoking, do. Stay true to who you are and what you want, don’t get lost into a sea of people trying to fit a mould. I’ve tried to step out of my comfort zone and be myself recently whether thats the style of content on my blog or the clothes I chose to wear.

Its easy to forget exactly who you are but always go with your first instinct and do what you love. Just remember, you’re unique and there is nobody quite like you, so flaunt you in the best way you can. Everything looks better when its done with confidence - even if its rocking the ‘three days slept in messy hair and no makeup’ style.

WHAT IM WEARING

Layering is one of my all time favourite ways to style clothes. There is something so much more 'together' about an outfit which has many dimensions. This outfit is compiling some of my current go-to pieces such as the AllSaints jacket (of course) and the gorgeous oversized shirt from Pretty Little Thing - both pieces made this simple jeans and tee look much better.
