flawless finish foundation // elizabeth arden (here)+
A quick peek at my instagram will show you this foundation at its finest. I wear it almost every single day and never edit my skin in pictures! I was gifted both shades by Elizabeth Arden when I went for a facial with them earlier in the year, one which is definitely recommended as it was so relaxing and opened my eyes to the world of skincare!
The foundation comes in a glass bottle with gold detailing and a perspex lid. I quite like the classic, timeless style and the gold box it is packaged in is so pretty. Its a really ‘luxurious’ style of packaging and costs only £25 which is slightly more high end but well worth it if you’re wanting to invest in a better product.
So the actual foundation! I have two shades, 04 and 09 (one for when I’ve tanned and one for when I chose to embrace the paleness.. or when I’ve forgotten to ‘re tan’). There is approximately 10 shades in the collection ranging from the most porcelain skin to a sunkissed tan, unfortunately nothing for darker skin tones as such.
To apply, you only need a small pump which initially doesn’t look like much. Once you start applying you’ll see that a little goes a long way. I normally apply to the back of my hand and evenly apply to my face using a blending sponge or buffing brush. With one coat, it gives a fairly good coverage covering any minor blemishes and dark circles that you might have, however, to cover my freckles I normally need two. Its SPF30 too which is a life saver in the recent heatwave and any summer holidays.
Its a really lightweight formula so it doesn’t feel to heavy or cakey on the skin which I love. There is no feeling of ‘wearing too much’ and it doesn’t tend to allow for your skin to go shiny in the heat. In all, its a really lovely foundation that I wear most days. The consistency is perfect and it just looks so flawless. I’ve had both bottles for around three months now and there is still a fair amount of product in each. I’d really recommend buying one of these if you’re willing to spend a little more on a product that you know works.
I love this!

This foundation sounds lovely. I adore lightweight foundations that cake thick feeling really is not for me!
