LONDON FASHION WEEK | 5 DAYS, 5 OUTFITS.

With London Fashion Week starting tomorrow, I thought I’d share some of my potential outfits for each day. I’m quite a polyvore lover when it comes to planning outfits with online purchases. The ease of being able to make up an outfit on the screen using items from all over the place is by far easier than trying to imagine it through your online shopping basket.
For this LFW, I’ve chosen to stick with the trends and shop ‘new in’ on every website imaginable (don’t worry, there will be a haul coming as I’ve brought far too much). The five trends which stuck out to me were pastels, florals, seventies, stripes and shades of grey. Pastels and florals are a fairly recurring theme for Spring/Summer but I love the boho seventies trend thats emerging at the minute too.
So for the first outfit, I went for some structured florals in the form of this co-ord set from AX Paris which I had to style up with some white and pastels. I kind of threw this outfit together but I really like how it works and the pastels bring out the colours in the co-ord nicely.
The second outfit is all about slouchy shades of grey. I figured that over the 5 days, I’d need some comfortable footwear at some point. I’ve gone with these easy styling multi-grey New Balance trainers, which bring out all the grey tones from the rest of the outfit with some fur and ripped knee jeans (in true ‘me’ style).
Outfit three is very seventies reminiscent. I wanted to incorporate the oxblood and tan colouring with some embroidery and fringing which has worked really well. Thigh high, skin tight boots bring it to the present day but the playsuit and oxblood coat compliment each other really nicely. I have fallen in love with the embroidery of this Boohoo playsuit and its only £25 so it will definitely be added to my Spring wardrobe!
The forth outfit is stripe heaven. I feel like if you’re going to do stripes at fashion week, you need to seriously ‘do’ stripes. I really like how the crop is oversized with horizontal stripes, while the trousers are slightly more structured with vertical stripes. The thickness of the stripes is contrasting between the two nicely and giving a cute silhouette. All of the accessories are monochrome and in keeping while the nails and lips give a cute pink addition to break it up and give it a little somethin’ somethin’.
For my final outfit, I went for a little touch of pastel. I had to include this belted duster from Boohoo. I brought it on a whim because I loved the length and slight dressing gown style. It makes quite the outfit statement and with the split side roll neck, ripped knee jeans and metallic pointed toe shoes - the whole thing is stylish and fashion week worthy while being easy enough for everyday!
So that is pretty much my outfit decisions for the entirety of London Fashion Week, I really hope that these give some inspiration to other people and give you some choices if you’re going! Everything is really affordable and outfits which could be easily re-created from your own wardrobe.
Which ones do you like the most?
