vest // vintage jeans // leigh, topshop free runs 5.0 // nike Plain and simple but I had to somehow fit these trainers into a post. My boyfriend treated me to two pairs of free runs for my birthday and these are by far my favourites. My Grandma and Auntie gave me the top in a massive bundle a couple of years ago as they had a lot of clothes that they no longer wanted but knew I would love – safe to say I got lots! Its only 11 days until my new uni house now so expect a little room tour to come to my blog at some point. I’ve thrown away a lot of home decor and bedding, etc, so it will look quite different to before. To be honest, the two previous ones that I have done both look very different anyway!
ootd, s tortoise glasses // firmoo + baroque shirt // topshop (old) ripped jeans // new look chunky boots // truffl This shirt was a present last Christmas and it hasn’t really had much wear. As gorgeous as it is, there isn’t many styling options so it is collecting dust – sadly because its so pretty. I decided to style it simply with black heels, black ripped jeans and some cute Harry Potter style glasses. Ripped jeans are my favourite for simplicity with style – they always add a new edge even though they are just black jeans. I did actually just buy another silk shirt from Monki which is a little more pyjama like – cute.
lipstick // make up rev gingham crop // new look leather wrap skirt // neon rose patent boots // primark Gingham. Another trend that has been overdone by bloggers but still remains a staple in most stores for the moment – following through to Autumn/Winter too. I’m probably the last person to accept gingham into my heart considering that I only own this crop and a shirt, but I’m welcoming it more each day. Gingham is quite a simple print so it makes for easy styling and adds a little sumthin’ sumthin’ to outfits. I chose to style my crop with some doc dupes from Primark and this leather skirt because I thought that a grunged up look would work more for today than making it girly. I always dress quite same-y so why not mix it up a bit..
reena graphic blouse // ingenue navy jersey skirt // h+m chunky heels // truffle Does this shirt remind anyone else of the fresh prince of bel air? I think the print and colours are so reminiscent of the show and its definitely one of my favourite shirts of the moment. Its such a comfortable fit and the fact that it is collarless makes it even better to me. Its currently on sale for almost half of the price so its definitely worth buying now! Is it weird that I am pretty much packed to move except my clothes? I’ve kept out a few pictures, lamps and the likes but everything else is almost ready to go. I decided to be super organised by throwing things out and getting it all sorted as soon as possible so that the move isn’t a mad rush. Yep, me, organised. x
festival specs // prêt-a-portobello + top, part of co-ord set // celeb look mom jeans // new look flossys If you don’t own flossys, you should really ask yourself why. They are the most comfortable plimsoles for the heat and they come in so many colours and patterns that they work with any outfit. As for the mom jeans, I brought these in the sale for the reduced price of £12 and they are now only £10. New Look is always quite good for sales because everything gets so far reduced before it goes out of stores and offline which makes for a fashionable wardrobe on a budget. I’m absolutely worn out today. I have worked two long shifts this weekend at work and barely had any sleep. I know this is like half of a normal persons working week but I’m not used to it and supermarkets are draining…
necklace // primark cropped tee // custom florence and fred mens tee (simila pleated knit skirt // primark petrol docklands // asos Yes, I am slightly wishing away the summer by dressing in a knitted skirt, but the weather is hardly helping. Just as I took these pictures it began to storm over with thunder and lightening – which would have looked cool in an outfit post but it stopped me getting any better images. Is anyone else finding the weather to be an outfit-picture-taking nightmare? This skirt was a £3 buy from Primark a couple of years a go but I’d never really been able to style it well so it just laid in my drawer collecting dust. However, when I realised the simplicity of styling it with something as easy as a white crop it worked. I quite like that the necklace and shoes are more of a…
fluffy cropped jumper // motel rocks striped shirt // motel vintage + white jeans // h+m These two Motel pieces are ones which I received as a thank you for helping out at the vintage event last week – how gorgeous are they? I had so much fun going around the samples and vintage to find pieces which would work well with my current wardrobe. This fluffy jumper will be perfect through Winter because of the super soft and warm feel of the material. I’ve had such a busy weekend with work so I am glad to finally be free for a while, its nice to know that I have a week of packing and getting ready to move – which I am so excited for! I can’t wait to move into the new house with some of my best friends and have lower rent to afford more clothes.. priorities!
lipstick // saint germain, mac eyelash lace bralet // celeb look + pvc wrap skirt // lauren pope collection, in the style + stressed clutch // zara chunky heels // truffle via ebay So if there was ever an outfit on my blog which made you think ‘this isn’t very copper’ – this would be it. I’m not one for girly, skirts or revealing crops but this outfit is a little special to me. This outfit is the kind of thing that would be worn if I had a party or night out coming up. The skirt is my absolute love right now because it is so slimming and flattering, the colour works perfectly for this season and adds a touch of style to any outfit. The bralet? I’ve been wearing it as underwear as well as a top because its so lovely. The zip up back helps to make it fit…
striped leotard // new look chino shorts // motel vintage+ chunky heels // truffle Say hello to the biggest lover of stripes. They are a subtle way to add more to a plain outfit, without actually adding patterns. The chino shorts were my chosen item from the Motel Vintage event and they are gorgeous. Despite being slightly too big for me round the legs, they could easily be altered to work better.
sunglasses // primark (old) earrings // topshop necklace // primark khaki sleeveless vest // new look shorts // celeb look wrangler boots // vintage lipstick // saint germain, mac This is probably one of my favourite looks in the heat. The khaki sleeveless vest is perfect for warmer weather because its quite breezy but can be styled warmer if its not too hot out. I dress more tomboy than feminine which is beginning to reflect through my outfit choices – although I wish I looked as chic as some of the girls on tumblr/pinterest. My Wrangler boots were part of a depop splurge in which I swapped for. They are so comfortable and I quite like that they are worn a little because it makes them look more ‘worker boot’ than stiff.
shirt dress // dorothy perkins + watermelon bralet + watermelon mesh shorts + cycle shorts // asos chunky heels // truffle Slightly out of comfort zone outfit, I’ll admit. It isn’t often that you’ll get me to wear a bralet like this comfortably without something mesh or sheer over the top but I love it. Best Clothing have some gorgeous sets for this season but the watermelon was one that I couldn’t resist – its perfect! I love the contrasting mesh and watermelon panels of the shorts – they’d be perfect over high waisted knickers or even just a bikini.
