Velvet Kimono.

Kimono’s are normally considered to be summer appropriate only but recently I’ve realised that they can work for other seasons too. This particular kimono was sent to me by Quiz to style in a way which would be worthy of London Fashion Week – obviously I chose monochrome as apparently I wear not much else. I really like the way that its got a velvet pattern but its lightweight and autumn/winter appropriate. To style the kimono, I chose metallic brogues because it brings out the shades in the kimono and a black jumpsuit which I wore for my Very magazine feature. You may or may not have seen me moaning on my twitter about my lack of voice. Since Thursday last week, I’ve been quickly loosing my voice to the point where its now a husky whisper and I can’t physically speak and its painful to even try (working at…

Bright Tribal.

This is the very last outfit that I shot in my old house. I’m glad in a way because it means all of my pictures from now are much better quality – but its also going to be a lot harder to get them up daily. Because of this, I am going to try and include other types of posts so maybe a few brand focuses and maybe like jewellery, accessories and such – just things which don’t need me to find a photographer. I feel like this is the last time I can really get away with a summer-y outfit too because the weather is now all over the place and it isn’t very easy to shoot.

SECTIONED.

The burgundy is out, autumn is officially here. I have to admit, burgundy is one of my favourite colours to wear any time of year but the past few months it hasn’t really been acceptable. These jeans are new to ASOS and completely my style. The ripped knees are becoming my signature and the looser fit and slight faded wash make them unique to my wardrobe – although I had to send them back because the waist was a little too big for me. I’m finally back to university now after the longest summer of my life. I’m so glad to be back but the work load is definitely a lot more than last year – which I expected but it all came at once. I can’t wait to get stuck into this year and prove myself to myself.

Street Style with Flossys | Part Two.

So this is the second set of pictures which came from the Flossys street style shoot that I did the other week. I’m not sure which I prefer but we definitely got more shots from the second look. I chose to go for a simple styling option with these flossys because they didn’t really need too much to make them look good – like the previous. The pictures were also shot at southbank and the quality is definitely much better than any I could take around here. To be honest, these images are the reason that my own outfit posts are now shot differently. Yet again, thank you so much to Flossys for including my little blog and allowing me to take part in something which is totally not what I ever thought my blog would have me doing!

Navy Silky Cami.

Annoyingly, I did actually already link and write up this post but it decided to delete itself so here I am typing away again.. Despite this, I’ll let you just appreciate how gorgeous this cami is! The cross back is so pretty and delicate but it works much better with a strapless bra so you don’t have straps all over the place looking ugly! I absolutely love the navy colour as it keeps with my monochrome autumn wardrobe but gives me a slight change because my obsession with black was getting a little too much – navy is a nice change. The satin is also lovely and so easy to wash/iron which I was a little worried about. I took outfit inspiration from Lookbook for this one. I noticed a post where someone had an all white outfit with a denim shirt so I thought I’d do my own take…

Vintage Shirts.

Another from the archive, just using them all up before I turn to being completely ‘new style’. I’m not too sure how its going to go down though because I don’t get the option to take those kind of pictures as regularly or as many at once – but we will see. I might have to start incorporating other content in rather than just hundreds of outfit posts, but I’ll just pass that bridge when it comes to it. This vintage shirt is one of the only ones that I own and the fact its absolutely massive makes it even better. Its quite hard to style but definitely a staple as it can be worn closed as a dress/top or open as a jacket type of thing. I am literally loving this year of university so far, its much more intense but the whole design process this time round is…

Woodlands Photography.

coat // sheinside paisley tshirt // glamorous ripped knee jeans // new look, custom converse These pictures were actually taken a while back by Laura but I completely forgot they were there! They also haven’t really been edited so this is the most ‘raw’ you’ll probably ever see me on my blog – lighting wise not photoshop (although I do edit my lumpy forehead, damn you weird shape). I received this paisley tshirt from Glamorous around the time of taking the pictures and thought I’d style it with pastels rather than the typical jump straight into darker shades. There is a hint of mint green in the top and its also got so many other colours that styling is fairly simple. My only issue was that the zip at the back of the neck seems slightly too heavy for the top so it pulls backwards but it isn’t unwearable. Are you…

Classic Trench Coat Style for Autumn.

lipstick // mac rebel scarf // vintage trench coat // new look crop long sleeve tee // vintage flower ring // pandora high waisted jeans // asos chelsea boots // new look Firstly before I forget, how beautiful is my new Pandora ring? House of Fraser were kind enough to offer me to select my favourite piece of jewellery so I chose this gorgeous ring. My auntie owns something similar so I feel like its a mutual thing we own – plus she adores flowers so whenever I look at my hand, I think of her. This was actually my outfit for the #bloggersfestival which was a few days ago. Myself and Rosie took these pictures at Hyde Park after the event before a very stressful journey home because of the stupid train man and our lack of phone batteries. The scarf is my winter ‘go to’ as well as…

Brogues: The Metallic Trend.

lipstick // blankety, mac grey tshirt // jack wills cami // new look pleated trousers // monki metallic brogues // debenhams Simple, monochrome, perfect for casual or smarter events. This style of outfit is one which I absolutely adore as its so comfortable but works well styled up too – multi purpose shall we say. These brogues don’t get brought out much because I tend to forget that I own them, so this was a rare day out for them but I’m going to try and wear them more often because they are so gorgeous and simple to style.

Taken In The Night Time.

bad hair day beanie // ebay fluffy jumper // celeb look leather trousers // h+m lace up boots // new look Pretty much forgot that it gets dark by 8pm now so these pictures ended up being taken under a street light and being heavily lightened in my editing – they actually turned out okay though considering. This jumper is a newbie from Celeb Look which is a brand that I’ve spoken about a lot recently. I’m still loving fluffy jumpers for this year and I’ve got my eyes on a couple which look like they will be flying to my wardrobe soon. Its not the easiest piece to style but I’ve found that it can add a lot to a simple outfit like these leather trousers (which are actually a size too big for me but fit nicely so I’d advise going a size bigger in them).

Longline Summer Cardigans.

sunglasses // ebay longline cardigan // divadames  cami // h+m white jeans // h+m (here) monochrome heels // truffle via ebay These glasses make my face look weird, but the shape and size is perfect so I don’t think they will be leaving my life any time soon. I’ve sort of fallen in love with collecting sunglasses and feel like I need to own lots of pairs to keep me going through the rest of the sunshine! The cardigan in this outfit is one of my current wardrobe essentials for the autumn – which I could totally make a video about if its what you’d like to see? Let me know in the comments because I’ve got a few wardrobe type ideas coming your way if I have the time to film them! But anyway, the cardigan is from Divadames who sell fashionable clothing but on Primark kind of prices…
