How I Keep My Travel Wardrobe ‘Ready To Go’.

Lets be honest – packing is the most essential part of any trip and washing those key pieces is just as important. If you’re anything like me, packing is stressful. I pack, unpack, repack and switch out my suitcase so many times even if I’m only going for a weekend. I guess I just like options, okay? haha.  As I’ve been traveling around quite a bit lately, it only seemed fitting to chat a little about my travel wardrobe. I’m a creature of habit when it comes to packing. I guess it comes from repacking so many times a year between trips with little time between. But on Instagram you might have noticed that I tend to pack the same few bits on repeat and have a pretty ‘capsule’ essential packing selection. Naturally I end up taking a few new-in pieces, but there is always the essential few bits that…

Four Of My Favourite Spots in Brighton.

Is there anything better than going for a trip without really leaving the home comforts? As much as I love venturing out and exploring new countries, I’m a sucker for a little adventure on British soil.  I headed on a little trip last week to enjoy the seaside, get a few snaps and finally embrace the beachfront heaven that is Brighton. Most people know it for the pebble beach or vintage shopping in the lanes – but for me it’s the epitome of a British seaside town. It goes without saying that you probably want some of the top Instagram locations, and I don’t blame you. Brighton has so many different corners that any photographer could go crazy over. And as I spent two days exploring the city, it only seemed right to share a mini city guide with my four favourite things to do – and the outfits that…

An Urban Picnic With Robinsons Refresh’d.

London is a pretty big city, with plenty of unexplored corners amongst all of the blogger and tourist hotspots. I’ve been lucky enough to live here for the past year and explore as much as possible, letting myself be part of the ever-changing rat race. However as much as I love being in the fast-paced city, sometimes it’s nice to find a little quiet corner to enjoy time with friends (or alone) and pretend you’re somewhere else. Essentially, having the best of both worlds without going too far! On-the-go drink Robinsons Refresh’d challenged me to find a lesser known spot in the city to enjoy a picnic with friends and I chose Black Heath common. Its just outside of Greenwich with lots of open space and greenery, perfect for escaping the city for a while. I’m surprised more people don’t know about it because it’s such a gem! Black Heath…

Going Blonde.

As simple as that, I went blonde. I transitioned from a beach bum with a natural balayage, to a white blonde babe.. through to a ‘darker route’ effortlessly blonde, blonde. Did you think I could fit so many looks into one sentance? No, neither did I. A couple of weeks ago, I walked into my usual hairdressers Live True and decided to take the plunge for a blonder look. My regular salon is Vauxhall but Live True also have salons in a few other parts of London depending on where you’re living. Vauxhall is always a chilled environment with the friendliest team – making every hour in the salon completely worth it. I also love the fact that theres a more sociable table so you can work and chat without staring at yourself in a mirror! So we started off with a ‘palette cleanser’ and bleached my entire head to…

Exploring Chiang Mai On A TukTuk.

Did you really go to Chiang Mai if you didn’t get a tuk tuk? Because are you really a blogger doing the above if there isn’t picture proof? No, #DoItForTheGram. The vlog of my trip to Chiang Mai with PANDORA is over on my YouTube channel but I have a few more posts to share with you from my short trip to Chiang Thailand. I decided to dedicate an entire post to our day of exploring because we visited temples, shopped in a local street market and got a tuk tuk around the old town. It was basically ‘how to Thailand in a day’ and its given me an itch to get back out there as soon as possible to explore some more. Heads up: I’d never been to South East Asia before this trip so I apologise if this is a complete gap year Brit’s explanation of Thailand.…

Inside The PANDORA Factory: How The Jewellery Is Made.

Well hello there, its been a while hasn’t it? If you hadn’t already seen on my Instagram account, last week I went on a beautiful trip to Thailand with Pandora. As UK ambassadors, the team wanted to show us around the Pandora factory so we could learn the process of creating the jewellery as well as exploring the beautiful city of Chiang Mai. So because of the amazing trip and amount of content that I managed to get, I thought I’d end my hiatus with a few posts to brag share everything. Beginning with a tour and chat about the Pandora factory.. JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. Pandora has two factories in Thailand based in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, with the latter only opening a couple of years ago. The factory is shaped like one of the infamous charm bracelets with over…

Six Outfits For Summer.

Oh, hello there. Its been a hot minute, hasn’t it. As much as I love London, I’m so sad to say that I’m back from South Africa – my second home. I’ve spent most of the last two years there with Adrian‘s family but the most recent trip was definitely my favourite. We filled it with adventure, relaxation and lots of happiness which you can see on the vlogs and instagrammed the whole trip, but couldn’t resist throwing a lookbook in there too. Obviously I couldn’t share all 21 outfits because that would have been the worlds longest lookbook. Instead, I picked my favourite six to share in the post, keeping a range of trends and new-in items (ps – haul video with all my new summer clothes here). I’m a sucker for high street style so almost everything is under £50 making it suuuuper affordable for you to add to your…

My Virtual Suitcase For Three Weeks In South Africa.

I know what you’re thinking.. bloomin’ heck Jess is off to South Africa again?!?! Yes, yes I am. But this time its for a bigger adventure than before. We’re going to be driving 13 hours from Johannesburg to Cape Town to spend a week there doing tons of cool adventurous things we didn’t do before. Then back to Johannesburg for two weeks in the mountains with our good friend Sam. I promise you that this trip will be much better than any we’ve previously done to South Africa and I’m already so so excited! I’ve decided to give you a ‘virtual wardrobe’ instead of the usual packing video because I think its much easier to shop. So if you see a picture on the ‘gram, an outfit in my vlogs or anywhere else online.. then you can refer back to here and shop everything from one space. Simple!   JavaScript…

A Hidden Hotel Worth Knowing About | The Arch, London.

It’s no secret that I live in London, but I’m always on the hunt for fancy hotels in my city for work or play. I like being able to work from a new space or just feel like I’m creatively free from my usual office, because there’s nothing more inspiring to me than a change of scenery. But its also nice to relax and rejuvenate in a new space. You know feel a bit like Serena Van Der Woodsen living out of a hotel room.. without the New York streets. And what better place to start than a beautiful Georgian hotel in central London?! The Arch hotel is located in the heart of Marlybone, perfectly quiet but a stones throw away from Oxford Street for shopping or getting around the city. The hotel is a perfectly old London style with a touch of modern, thanks to the owners interior flair.…

Why Doughnut Time Is A Blogger AND Vegan Instagram Dream.

We’ve all seen the extravagant doughnuts on social media, it would be hard not to. The mint green decor and floating doughnut sign make it hard to walk past Doughnut Time and not grab yourself a bite. Whenever I’ve walked past, there are always a few tourists and bloggers snapping away (and I like to think I found it before the hype..). The chain is originally from Australia but has popped up in the likes of Notting Hill and Old Street with the most OTT doughnuts you’ve ever seen. Whether they are topped with percy pigs, kinder eggs or various other treats – each doughnut makes my mouth water. Every day there is a similar variety with limited edition flavours popping in and more vegan option than I’ve seen elsewhere. I guess that is what makes an Instagram must visit, isn’t it? A lick of pastel paint, extravagant products and…

Shoreditch on Film.

I take my Instax Mini everywhere with me and have a ridiculous amount of photo albums filled with mini film pictures from various trips, events and general things I don’t want to forget. On a recent trip to The Photographers Gallery, I found a disposable camera for only £6 and couldn’t resist picking it up for a bit of a retro session with friends. There is something so exciting about waiting a few days to see what you captured and its perfect for documenting a little day out in the hipster capital of London, Shoreditch. The particular day in question happened to be a random frozen outburst from the Beast From The East 2.0. Unfortunately positioned between warmer days so we were all snuggled up in as many layers as possible to pretend it wasn’t arctic – but that kind of adds to the effect doesn’t it. Hayley, Adrian, Joe and…
