Outfit Repeating & Staying Relatable.

I’m guilty. We all are. As bloggers or even just girls, we feel weird about being photographed the same outfit more than once in fear of looking boring/basic/broke. Its even filling up the media with various articles seeming shocked at the fact Kate Middleton wore the same dress four times (shock horror) because god forbid should she like an item enough to wear it more than once! I remember being 18 and worrying about wearing the same dress from a night out a couple of weeks ago incase someone notice which maybe stemmed from the media or my own paranoia and it sounds so ridiculous but from speaking to other people, it seems like an issue for more than just me.. nobody wants to be the outfit repeater. (but you’re an outfit rememberer, which is just as pathetic.. cue lizzie Maguire nostalgia) As bloggers we are put on a ‘fashion pedestal’ and expected to be top of the game when it comes…

Rainy Day Casuals.

Well, hasn’t England blessed us with the most beautiful weather recently? Its been a mixture of freezing or raining and like a true Brit – I’ve moaned about it consistently. I’ve got a slight confession for you, well two confessions. One is very comical and one is a bit more serious. I’ll hit you with the blow first.. are you ready for it.. I’m focusing on my YouTube channel more than my blog for a while. Yep, you read right, my YouTube channel is becoming first priority.  I think its quite unexpected because theres been minimal uploads for a while. now, but my heart is firmly back in YouTube – where Copper started. I entered the internet world with a ‘Lauren Conrad braid tutorial’ filmed on my webcam back in the day and its taken me back. Moving forward, the content to YouTube is going to be Weekly Vlogs, lookbooks…

Straying From The Typical Life Plan.

At my age, my career should have begun and I should have saved for a mortgage because that’s how it works when you grow up.. right?  Wrong. Do you ever feel like you’re behind? Like something isn’t happening for you yet, something that maybe should be? My personal life and social media are a constant reminder of where other people are in life with girls of a similar age with different life paths and choices, showing or telling their daily successes or new pregnancies and keys to a new home. It almost makes me feel as though my plans to travel mean that I’m falling behind in the ladders of life.. do you feel like you’re missing out by not having these things too? I feel like my entire life there has been a plan drummed into me, and most of us. Hitting your twenties is for getting a career…

Oversized and Under Dressed.

Sometimes outerwear kills your outfit vibe but when the chill is too much, its all about the layering and oversized scarves are the perfect option.. Lets start this post with a little ‘first world problems’ because my hair has now changed a LOT (cue instagram stalks) so the next few posts will be slightly mixed as some will be the hair you know me with and others will be newly dyed princess hair while I blend into my most recently shot content. I mean, this definitely isn’t a problem but I like everything to be uniform and its stressed me a little.. lol. Anyway, enough hair chat because we need to speak about my (slightly) silly outfit choice on the coldest day of 2017 so far. I know I’m a bit crazy because its minus numbers outside and too cold to even tie your hair up (nothing is worse than…

8 Year Round Essentials For An Affordable Capsule Wardrobe.

When it comes to capsule wardrobes, I desperately try to keep up appearances but being a blogger (and a girl in general) means that my wardrobe grows a lot quicker than it shrinks! A capsule wardrobe is essentially a few key pieces which are seen as timeless and usually in a monochrome or neutral colour palette with a couple of statement pieces. A capsule can be seasonal or year round and generally all of the items go with one another to create more outfit options. So that being said, my travels are going to be across every season and I have no clue where I’m going to end up so my capsule is more ‘year round’ rather than weather/season appropriate. Admittedly there is a couple of bikinis thrown in there but this is my 10 key pieces to start a capsule wardrobe – all of which are from the high street…

Jack Wills Sporting Goods: Fit For Life.

Have you ever wished your favourite brand would release a gym range just so you could wear it even more than usual? That’s how I felt about Jack Wills, but they’ve made my wishes a reality with their new range: Sporting Goods. Sporting Goods is a capsule collection of gym clothing, formulated with high performance sports fabrics to aid your workout and fit like a glove. The collection is small and select but features monochromatic colour ways with a hint of muted turquoise and navy (trust me, it works). I personally love the fact there is a few styles in different colours because when something fits great – I want it in every shade possible. Now lets get a little technical and talk about the pieces I’ve been trying out the last couple of weeks. I’ll start with the leggings which are my personal favourite! Like most girls, every pair of leggings…

Black and Navy.

Sometimes minimalism can give you the best style, this ones my favourite. Guys. Can you believe we’re only two weeks into January??? It feels like Christmas was months and months ago, but its still closer than payday for most people and we’re not even half way through the longest month of the year but slowly its ending.. slowly.  On a bright note though, its only 5 weeks until I leave for South Africa which is really exciting! Its going to be such a big adventure that will hopefully never end but don’t worry, I’ll be updating you on social media every five minutes!! Faux fur is a new found addiction of mine and its appearing in my wardrobe through various coats and scarves. This coat is probably the least ‘furred’ of my collection with a detachable collar in a classic cut that flatters rather than looking bulky or oversized. Its honestly…

Faux Fur’d Up With No Place To Go: Late Winter Transition.

Happy New Years you gorgeous bunch! Am I the only one that thinks Spring starts as soon as the festive period is over? I guess its wishful thinking but as soon as its January, I’m mentally preparing myself to get the bikinis dusted off and layer up a little less. (side note: its still absolutely freezing) Now the Christmas sales are something I avoid like the plague because its too busy and my size is always sold out first – plus I didn’t want to be annoying and share clothes on my blog that you guys could love and then not be able to go out and buy for yourselves (see, always thinking of ya). Althoughhh this year I accidentally fell into New Look and ended up with this gorgeous faux fur jacket for £22 and have lived in it for the last few days. Faux fur is a trend…

The Last Outfit Of 2016 and Downsizing My Wardrobe.

Soooo.. can someone please explain where the year has gone?? It seems to have flown by quicker than Marty McFly but its been one of the best twelve months of my life so I’m sad to see it end but very excited for the 2017 and all of the adventure. Its currently 2pm and I’m on the sofa nursing a cup of coffee, trying to decide to chat about the new year without all the soppy reflecting that typical Jess would do (and also trying to do some blogging before a party tonight), so I decided to give you a little insight into my first New Years resolution instead: upgrading my style. If you remember back to January, I started a capsule wardrobe and despite it working really well with my style, the concept basically got lost in the overflowing rails as my spending habit took over instead. My main source of inspiration…

Being A Solo Traveller on MedSailors and Why You Should Do It.

I would never (ever ever ever ever) have planned a trip on my own. This is something that I really need to stress before you read this post. I’m the girl that wouldn’t even go to the shops without a friend so travelling alone was a huge step for me but one that I can’t recommend highly enough because its the best thing I ever did. My trip to MedSailors was originally planned with two of my best friends but due to some unforeseen circumstances, they couldn’t make it. I was literally stood in Heathrow Airport when one of my friends couldn’t fly due to sickness and through lots of panic and tears, I decided to get on the plane alone so none of our money was wasted.. and its the best thing I ever did. So MedSailors is a skippered sailing company for anyone aged 18-30 who likes a little party with a little scenery…
