It’s a misconception that you can’t wash your newly microbladed brows. It is essential since microorganisms and dryness must be eliminated. It is also beneficial in avoiding problems such as infections. Nevertheless, it would be best if you cleaned them correctly. This entails washing them lightly with a cotton swab and sterilised water. It is also critical to not leave them wet or oily but to thoroughly dry them. In addition, suitable microblading aftercare solutions are required in the healing process. One such product to use would be a post-procedure cream to help with any irritation and to aid in tissue rejuvenation.

Day 1: Blot the area gently half an hour after the treatment. Use a clean tissue or cotton pad, a small amount of water, and antibacterial soap to clean the area. Don’t worry; the pigment will not be affected! Repeat every 2-3 hours to prevent a build-up of blood in the region.  Use a post-procedure mask that is specially designed to moisturise and form a protective barrier. I recommend a post-procedure soothing mask by Dermagen. Keep using these for the next week or so.

Day 3 – Blot the affected area carefully in the morning and last thing at night. It’s critical to get rid of dead surface skin and bacteria. Make sure that your hands are clean and use sterile water. Avoid rubbing, tugging, or scrubbing the brows. Apply a thin coating of Dermagen post-procedure cream after wiping. Your brows should not be oily, glossy, or shiny. If they do, it’s because you used too much. Also, avoid making vigorous motions or manipulating the skin when cleansing the brows. It is critical to exercise extreme caution.

Day 4-14 – Keep washing your face with water and light soap every morning and evening. Avoid using products containing harsh acidic properties.  Dab a cotton ball or a soft tissue lightly to do this. Following cleaning the brow region, apply an incredibly thin coating of lotion in the same manner as you did for the first few days after the procedure. 

 

To achieve the greatest outcomes while avoiding adverse effects, avoid the following:

  • Using any kind of make-up
  • Sweating or exercising for at minimum a week and steamy saunas or hot showers/baths.
  • Picking, scraping, or peeling your brows because you don’t want to damage the region
  • Becoming directly exposed to sunlight or salon sunbeds, Ultraviolet rays, or chemicals for 4 – 6 weeks since you don’t want to create a colour change or uneven fading. If going out in the sun is unavoidable then a specialist sun cream is recommended like Dermagen SPF 50 it is hypoallergenic and provides a anti-inflammatory. This post-treatment sun cream is designed specially with protection and recovery in mind. 

For the next 4 – 6 weeks, Do not have facials, Botox, chemical treatments, or microdermabrasion.

For the first ten days, do not sleep face down. In addition, use a fresh pillowcase as often as possible.

Do not Perform intensive household cleaning tasks in areas where there is a lot of dust.
