Why Its Good To Feel Like You Aren’t Good Enough at …

Feel like you’re not good enough at work? Don’t worry, you’re not the only one. AND ITS OKAY. JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. Sometimes I feel like I’m going nowhere and as I’m sat writing this post, that is exactly how I feel. I feel like I’m not good enough at work. I’m stuck and overwhelmed and completely snowed under with the amount of work that I need to do. I’ve got blogposts that are half written, pictures that aren’t edited and invoices to send and despite feeling like I’m a failure – doing these things seems like a task too big. Its funny isn’t it. The very reason I’m stressed and overwhelmed is because I’ve got so much to do but its ultimately effecting my drive to do these things. I have been sat on my bed for four hours now…

Look Better, Feel Better.

If you follow quite a few UK instagrammers like I do, you might have noticed the blow-dry favourites Duck & Dry appearing quite a lot over the past few months. Wellll, your gal over here got a chance to pop in for a little pamper not long ago so it only seemed fair to share it with you. You’ll definitely want to pop down yourself! Duck & Dry has a few bars around the city but I headed to Oxford Circus, located behind Urban Outfitters. Its super easy to get to from the tube if you’re in a rush. Within the salon you can get everything including blow drys, nails and make-up (and a cheeky Prosecco from their bar if you feel a little fancy). I got my hair blown-out on this occasion and went for a subtle ‘done but undone’ blowdry rather than curls. My hair was fairly straight…

Is Blogging Dead? The Rise of The Instagrammers.

JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. We all knew blogging wouldn’t last forever, but every twist and turn brings an unexpected surprise into the mix. We all love a good twitter rant about how we feel about a new picture getting less likes but one of my favourite topics of the moment is whether Instagram is replacing blogging. Whenever I speak to other bloggers, PRs or even friends who just ‘gram their night out or dinner for the day, everyone has a different spin on the future. I could go on forever about the various parts of the blogging community that are changing but this seemed like a natural place to start by discussing if blogging is dead at the hands of Instagram. The app we all love to hate. As a blogger of 4 years, Instagram was a newer addition to the game.…

Bare Faced Confidence.

Why is it that as girls, we struggle with embracing our natural beauty with bare faced confidence? I don’t wear a lot of make-up but the idea of being completely bare faced is daunting and I think a lot of you are with me on that. Maybe its the generation we live in. Our lives are almost entirely online! Or maybe its just that we prefer to add make-up to boost our confidence. So for today, I decided that my focus should be on stripping it back to nothing but my make-up free face, in HD, on the internet. Over the last few months, my skin has become a priority because not only do I want to be blemish free but the anti-ageing products need to step in too. I know I’m only 25 but lets be honest – anti-ageing products are to prevent ageing before it starts, not once…

Things I Wish Someone Told Me About Blogging Full Time.

Blogging isn’t something that has always been considered as a job. If we take a peek back to 2013 when Copper Garden first started, blogging couldn’t generate an income and was purely a community of likeminded people posting their outfits and beauty purchases online. I had my blog purely as a form of procrastination and a way to document my outfits, as did many other girls. To this day it still baffles me that the day I decided to create a website was the day that I unknowingly created myself a job for the future. Crazy right? I have now been a blogging full time for a year and as much as I wouldn’t change it for the world, the last couple of months, I’ve been thinking about what being a ‘full time blogger’ means to me. Every time someone asks me how I managed to take my blog to…

Trying To Love The Baker Boy Trend.

Hats are something you either suit, or you don’t. You know sometimes you see a girl that just suits every style? Beanie, cap, floppy, baker boy.. you name it and she suits it. I want to be that girl. The baker boy hat used to remind of Peaky Blinders or Victorian guys in the mines (I can’t be the only one that loved looking at the pictures rather than listening in History class?!). But recently the baker boy hat become a style that we’re all wearing and one that can take an outfit from a solid 5 to an 8/10. Its kind of like a replacement for the fedora which has been exhausted over previous seasons. JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. Now this particular baker boy hat comes from Amazon with a leather strap buckled around the front and a really cosy…

The Perfect Blonde Balayage from Live True London.

Its about time that I started talking about my hair, isn’t it? Most of my Instagram comments mention my hair in some way.. regardless of what my actual post is about. I guess its the length that catches the eye but also the current gorgeous colour. I take absolutely no credit for any of it because Paco is the one that made it look so rich and healthy. Taking my hair from lions mane to princess tresses..literally. Me and hairdressers haven’t got on for quite a few years. I had a pretty botch job in a walk-in salon 4 years ago that completely put me off. My hair was pretty damaged and when I asked for a trim with layers, they cut a few inches off. I was left with such choppy layers that you could see chunks of hair missing. It resulted in hair extensions being a permanent fixture for around 18…

5 Changes You Can Expect To See On Copper Garden.

All of my social media platforms have been a constant chatter of ‘Copper 2.0’. I decided that it was about time that I sat down to write about the changes so you know exactly what is happening in my world. A few things have already been creeping through but for the most part – I’ve kept pretty quiet and worked hard behind the scenes. Before I get into all of the changes, you need to know that my life is a little spontaneous. I don’t stay in one place for too long and change is a constant reoccurrence. Whether thats my location, likes, dislikes or even the direction of my brand. Change One | Making YouTube More Style/Travel Focused. My YouTube channel has been a little neglected for the last 18 months and it honestly fills me with guilt and sadness. YouTube was the first stepping stone of Copper Garden and one that I…

The Check Blazer | Ways To Style

I wonder how many of you remember back in the day when I’d film ‘ways to style’ videos on a regular basis? When most of my videos were filmed in the garden with a tripod and signature few poses? Yep, those ones. Wellllll, I’m bringing them back (but better) and kind of excited about the coming changes! I’ve been talking on my Instagram about ‘Copper 2.0’ and it’s starting this week on all platforms. Think more editorial, more interesting posts and the likes. There will be a post all about the changes coming up so keep your eyes peeled! But that’s a story for another time, for right now let’s talk about the check blazer. A style that’s fronting the AW17 trends and one I can’t get enough of since my London Fashion Week post. The one shown in this post is from Find but I’ve linked a few of…

Health and Wellbeing Upgrades.

Moving to London was like a fresh start and I decided to use it as a time to not only explore a new city, but to really invest in myself again. I’ve been drinking more water, upgrading my skincare routine, looking into yoga classes and overall just thinking about my personal wellbeing. In a 2016 Pinterest study it was proven that 59% of us want to make positive changes to our lifestyle as soon as September hits.. and I’m one of them. Essentially giving myself a little life overhaul and sharing my healthier life choices with Robinsons.  The main step was refreshing my diet, choosing to cook meals from scratch instead of the quickest hunger fix possible. Working from home helps quite a lot when it comes to my food choices because I have a little more time to cook. One of my favourite brunch ideas is granola with berries…

All Black Gym Clothing | Keeping it Capsule.

This is kind of a stripped back outfit post.. for your gym wardrobe so listen up fellow 'I buy more gym clothes than I need' gals because you'll love this one.. 'Mostly black with a hint of grey or white' is pretty much my style summed up. I'm a creature of habit and rarely venture into the realm of colour, even in the gym. I love keeping to the monochrome spectrum because there is nothing worse than owning 3 specific gym outfits that don't work together – much rather own a few pieces that can be interchanged. Now I'm not a fitness fanatic but I love working out and keeping myself healthy. The buzz from aching muscles and endorphin rush are worth the early start or tough session. I might be alone in this, you might not agree but whether you're a part-time cardio gal or love lifting weights.. you'll…
