My Final Results With ProActiv+

Can you believe it’s been six months since Proactiv+ first graced Copper Garden?! I’ve been using the range daily since August and couldn’t wait to share the finished results with you. All of my previous posts can be found in the ‘journey to better skin’ with information on my skin story, a couple of product reviews and a little chat about feeling confident when you’re bare faced. I’ll be honest, this is the first time I’ve ever really had a ‘routine’ with my skincare. I’m questioning why it took me so long! I used to just take my makeup off with micellar water and use the occasional face mask… but it didn’t go much further than that. Recently – through using the products – I’ve realised the importance of sticking to something more effective. Now it’s all about these three steps; cleanse, tone, moisturise.  GET 20% OFF SITE-WIDE WITH THE…

Lets Talk About Contraception.

Contraception. Most of us use it, so why do we find it so difficult to talk about? Natural Cycles has been getting a lot of press recently so I thought I’d talk about my experience. At around the age of 17, my friends and I would head to the local sexual health clinic with lots of other embarrassed teens. We didn’t have much knowledge of the types of contraception available other than condoms or the pill. Being naive, we opted for the pill because its what everyone else was taking. Why should it be different for me? I had no idea. It sounds really stupid now I’ve grown up but at the time, I didn’t even question that every woman is different and what works for one might not work for another. It took me quite a while to come off the contraceptive pill and realise that I wanted something…

Some Chevrons To Brighten The Mood.

Oh, hi there. It has been a long time since I sat down to write a post. Picking up my online presence has been harder than you’d think recently. Being a blogger gives the automatic assumption that I can pump out content like a crazy workaholic and permanently have words flowing but thats definitely not the case. Writing posts can be a struggle and it often feels like nobody actually cares about what I have to say. Lets be honest, I don’t get a stack of retweeted posts or recommended to your mums friends daughter.. but I’m working on it. For now we’re going to lighten the mood and talk about some new addictions and old favourites. You know, keeping it real. The post about the above rambles is coming soon.. Updating My Winter Skincare Routine.

Winter is my favourite time of year in terms of the festivities. It also means a change up to my skincare routine though! The need for SPF isn’t as great so my attention is switching to the more hydrating products. Anything to keep my breakouts at bay while hydrating! Its a tricky mix because I always tend to associate moisture in my skin as being the root cause. Ultimately, its my diet going out of the window with daily hot chocolate! As you might have seen, I have been trialling ProActiv+ for a few months now and updating you on my journey regularly. Each month I’m discovering new products in the range and actively keeping them a part of my routine. I’ve been using the 3-step core kit from the beginning but only recently introduced the perfecting hydrator properly into my routine – having not needed it much through the…

Is It The Algorithm, Or Do You Not Like Me? An Instagram …

I’ve spent weeks feeling like such a moaning myrtle and feeling sorry for myself and the cause is genuinely a social media app. Ridiculous isn’t it. It might sound like a giant millennial moan but with the nature of my job, it’s difficult not to get sucked into the numbers game (or the instagram algorithm) and feel as though nobody likes you because of a few numbers on a phone screen. Instagram is quite a touchy spot for bloggers at the moment with instagram algorithm and other factors messing with follower engagement (and ultimately, our business). It sometimes feels like an endless battle when your quality improve and you’re actively being nice to others but see no real ‘reward’ from something that used to give you a sense of instant gratification. Girls Night Out.. At Home.

What do you give a girl that loves coffee and movie nights with a takeaway if she’s off on a night out? An espresso martini… with a twist of course. It’s no secret that I used to hide away from socialising to watch Stranger Things on the sofa. But my 2018 New Years resolution is coming early and I’m trying to make a change. My ‘out out’ wardrobe is coming out of hiding and I’m favouring a few drinks with good friends this party season. I’m spending Christmas in South Africa this year, which means family comes first, with some cocktails on the side. Luckily, we have a bar at home so we can enjoy a night out.. without moving further than the back garden with a speaker and some fairy lights. I’ll be honest, I’m a family girl and this is definitely my favourite way to spend Christmas. Does…

When Flares Make A Comeback.

JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. I’m embracing the freeze as much as possible and bringing out the chunky scarves and endless winter coats. Andddd the flares that have replaced by super skinnies! If you saw my Topshop haul recently, you might have already seen these amazing trousers but they are a great new addition to my wardrobe. So much so, I’m thinking there might be a ‘ways to style’ video coming soon. Fancy one?? The seventies has been a regular trend throughout Autumn and Winter, usually through colour and print. This season the flares took a limelight and I can’t get enough. This particular pair are a version of the Topshop Jamie jeans and fit like a dream. I love their easy styling options and already have wishlists growing that is dotted throughout this post for you to browse. JavaScript is currently…

Thickening Your Eyelashes With Eyeko Lash Alert.

JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. Another beauty post!? Oh, go on then! Some of my favourite posts to read are make-up related but it seems to be the one thing I rarely post myself. After my Garnier review went down well, I thought it was time to share a little more make-up in a style true to me. Expect natural looks, lots of hair products but still a silly amount of fashion and travel – beauty is just going to pop up every now and then! So for today I’ve got some products from Eyeko to share with you, a brand that came onto my radar a couple of years ago but I never really gave the products a chance until now.. and I honestly don’t know why it took me so long. Eyeko is a fairly new brand to my make-up bag with a whole range…

Day To Night In A Christmas Jumper.

Its that time of year again where the jokers like me decide to buy the most hideous Christmas jumpers we can find.. then proceed not to take them off for a week straight. Yuuuup, I’m that person. This jumper is actually very tame fairisle print as my tacky ones hadn’t turned up before filming. You’ve been let off lightly. Thank you Sam for lending me your jumper. When you’ve got a busy day with too many events, sometimes its nice to wear the same outfit (near enough) from day to evening. Its much easier than a complete outfit change, and thats what this video is for. I wanted to share a simple way to transform a Christmas jumper from daytime to smart-casual with just a change of shoes and touch of lipstick. Alsoooo, if you’re in the festive mood then I have compiled a little Christmas jumper wishlist for you…

Skipping The Cold This Christmas.

Christmas is a time for traditions whether you always watch Elf or live in a novelty jumper from December 1st. I’m a creature of habit and have never spent a Christmas outside of the UK in my life. This is all about to change though as this year, I’m off to spend the festive month in South Africa with Adrians family. I’ve worked non-stop the past fortnight to get everything shot, edited and scheduled in so there won’t be any gaps. My videos will still be coming 6pm every Wednesday and Sunday with a few Monday vlogs, but also posts on here every Monday, Wednesday and Sunday at 6pm too. Trust me, I’ve had plenty of sleepless nights to make sure it all runs smoothly.. don’t say I don’t spoil you! You may have already noticed but I have decided to pull back from the typical Christmas gift guides this year.…
