Well hello there, aren’t you glad to be seeing me on a daily basis? Can you believe Fashion week is already over for another season!? My fun isn’t over yet as I’m heading to London Fashion Week Festival this weekend to bring you the latest from this seasons RTW! Remember to keep your eyes on #CopperxLFW for the updates, or check my previous outfits and trend focus in my ‘Fashion Week’ tab.
Anyway, this look was a cheeky little focus on checks in the form of this seasons must have: the check blazer. Its a very typical ‘me’ look with the skinny jeans but for one day I just wanted my comfort and it was bloomin’ cold (hence the scarf).
I spent quite a while searching for what I consider to be the perfect check blazer. I opted for the more neutral tones rather than the classic monochrome check. I think I also fell for this one because of the double breasted style too. You know I can’t resist a bit of tailoring!
The blazer is teamed with a heavy dose of red via the slogan and darker toned accessories. Don’t you just love a deep berry or red tone for Autumn? Theres something about the colour that just screams “give me a pumpkin spiced latte and autumnal candle immediately”. The bag in particular is a fave as its the perfect structured box shape for the season with what I like to call the ‘ticket inspector’ opening. I’ll be honest, I didn’t think I’d like it at first but I haven’t stopped using it for the past few days.
But enough on the bag – this post is about the check trend. A classic print that has been around forever but seems to be taking centre stage on the high street right now. Every store has a check blazer in the window and various other pieces inside, apparently we can’t get enough! Its safe to say there is already around 4 pieces of check in my wardrobe for the season and its only just started.
If you fancy investing now while the trend is still hot, heres a selection from the high street for under £70..
