It’s no surprise that I miss being in sunshine. Like, reaaaally miss! It’s like my happy place, dancing around in the heat wearing summer appropriate clothing with a cocktail in hand. Whenever I’m in a warm place, nothing matters and the world almost melts away a bit and I fully emerge myself into the sunkissed beach bars and cosmopolitans.
For right now, I’m back in England for a little while and wishing the drizzle would leave. Isn’t it funny how us Brits spend a fortune on Summer clothes that we wear maybe once or twice a year? Its like we constantly hold on and hope that this year will be different, warmer and more European.
Nobody’s Child have been on my radar for quite a while because of their loose styles and classic prints.. with a price range that will make your bank balance happy. You might remember my recent post about “maxi dresses for shorter girls” and even though this is a midi – it’s a pretty great addition to that list and I fell in love with it straight away. The length is great and the slouchy fit works well with my petite frame.
You know by now that I’m not one for feminine dresses but I was drawn to the simple shape and creamy tones. I originally planned to wear this somewhere hot but styled up with a leather jacket and some ankle boots it almost feels bohemian.. and it was first in my suitcase for Barcelona.
