Nothing beats a lunch date with a friend and a mug of coffee, especially when you work seconds away from Bills!

Sam and I stopped off for a lunch catch up a fair while back and I completely forgot to upload the post to my blog, so here it is. My main reason for blogging this little trip was to share the healthy options on the menu with you! I’m trying to stick to my macros and not stray with my food, so eating healthily in restaurants is a must - which is a challenge when you love buttermilk pancakes as much as I do.

Bills is the perfect place to go if you’re looking for a yummy breakfast, lunch or dinner while on the go -  located in town centres so there is always one close by. The menu has plenty of options regardless of your preferences, meaning my super healthy, lactose intolerant diet is allowed to eat without worry.

So for food, we ordered fairly healthy. I started with houmous and breads which is a typical starter for me and it tasted lovely. For my main course, I chose the ‘superfood kale salad’ which is gluten free, suitable for vegans and as you can see from the pictures, it was delicious. The chickpeas and quinoa were a really good base with the avocado, courgettes and peppers giving bulk to the salad and complimenting the almond and ginger dressing nicely. Bills give quite generous portions so I didn’t manage to finish the entire bowl but I enjoyed every mouthful.

With regards to pricing, its fairly mid-market. A main meal from the lunch and dinner menu costs between £8-£18 depending on your choice with steak being the obvious luxury. I’d definitely recommend trying Bills for any meal throughout the day though as there is so many delicious options to choose from.

Have you eaten there before?
