GETTING A SUMMER BODY QUICKLY | #8WEEKSFORCHANGE


I'm a gym bunny sometimes and complain about my body always - the kind of girl that promises to eat healthy and workout lots every Monday but has forgotten by Thursday. While browsing instagram last week, this image appeared on my timeline - a girl with my body shape at the same size as me to begin with. A girl who had transformed herself into my body goal within 8 short weeks.. so why couldn't I?

After a lengthy voice-messaging chat with my best friend Char, the guilt at barely changing shape in months turned into a personal challenge which I'm starting today. Eight weeks to change my body and see just how much it could transform if the hard work is put in. The picture at the end of this post is my current shape, I'm a slim size 6/8, weighing in at 8st4. My body isn't too bad but a tighter core, more defined abs and general muscle would be appreciated. I won't be focusing too much on my weight because muscle weighs more than fat, but mainly my measurements and how I look/feel with all measurements and final comparisons shared in 8 weeks time.

To document my progress, there will be a weekly post, daily pictures on my fitness instagram and videos.. but I can't decide between fortnightly, two in total or one big round up at the end? 

I'm so aware that I've made this sound like a Bear Grylls type situation, but I want to treat it like its a huge deal. If you'd like to join me on this challenge with moral support via instagram, feel free! I'll be using the hashtag '#8WeeksForChange' and keeping up with everyone on there..


WHAT IM WEARING


This outfit is pretty bright for me, but there had to be an injection of colour somewhere with my main wardrobe being so monochrome. All of these pieces were gifted to me by Get The Label who stock well known sports brands for discounted prices - this entire outfit is £50 less than retail price..
