UGG SANDALS.

ugg sandals // very.co.uk+

Sandals and flip-flops are essential at this time of year, there are so many options in every shop that sometimes its nice to take it back to simplicity. I may be the only one, but I wear sandals/flipflops way into the Autumn because I don't want to cave in to the long summer of boots.

I'm a sucker for a pair of flip-flops, but sometimes its nice to differ from the 'norm' and add something different into my shoe collection. As I'm now on holiday, it seemed the right time to showcase one of my favourite pairs of sandals. I was sent these gorgeous UGG sandals by Very at the beginning of the season and I've been wearing them almost every single day. The sandals cost £50 and they're so worth the price - comfort, quality and classic style. The braided strap is soft leather and fits comfortably over the highest part of my foot, which is a welcome style as opposed to the strap falling near my toes.

FLORAL CO-ORD.

floral co-ord // ax paris (here) and (here) - on sale!+
faux fur bag // topshop (here)
pink flossys // office (here)+

Sometimes its nice to add a bold, bright print to your wardrobe while beginning the transition into autumnal clothing. While you're reading this, I will be on the beach sunning it up on holiday so to suit the occasion, here is a summery co-ord to make you feel bright and cheery. I promise there will be plenty of outfit posts going up when I'm back as I've got a trusty photographer on holiday with me, my friend/joshs cousin Dannielle!

The cut of this co-ord is so flattering as its slightly boxy on top with the easy to style tailored trousers meaning you could also style it up as workwear too, if you're brave enough. Co-ords are always great pieces to own as you can wear them together or separate with other pieces - styling it up with pastels is my favourite so I brought out my faux fur clutch and comfortable Flossys.

This outfit featured in a 'ways to style printed trousers' video, linked below:

OFF ON HOLIDAY.

After almost 8 months of waiting, I'm finally off on holiday! While you're reading this post I will be on route in some way. We had to be up at 2am for a 5am flight followed by a coach, 8 hour ferry and another coach - its a very long journey. Neither myself or Josh have been on holiday in years so is nice to know we are finally getting away for our first holiday together. We are heading to Naxos (a gorgeous Greek island) for 18 days so it will be a well deserved, long relaxing break.

While I am away, there will still be videos and posts going live so you won't be missing me too much. I will be vlogging through the holiday as well as filming a style diary and taking lots of gorgeous blog pictures. All of this will be up as soon as I'm home, so keep your eyes peeled - if you can't wait then have a look on my instagram as there will be daily updates and gorgeous scenery.

DITSY PRINTED SUN DRESS.

fedora // primark (similar here)
ditsy print dress // h+m (here)
sandals // moda in pelle (here)+

Theres something so cute about this dress and I can’t put my finger on exactly what that something is. I love the ditsy print, floaty almost-smock style and the tie back detailing, more-so because the dress only cost me £4. I went into H+M for no particular reason and came across this dress in two prints at £4 each and couldn’t resist for  my holiday. Worn exactly as I’ve styled it here, you can’t go wrong for a beach break.

Teaming the dress with my perfect Moda in Pelle sandals. I’m not a huge sandal person because my feet won’t allow me to be, but these are so supported around my ankle that it isn’t a problem. They stay on my foot well despite being slightly too big over my toes - again, not a big issue. The sandals gave the dress a summer-y vibe but I think the dress could easily be layered up for Autumn too. The fedora is purely added because its pink and brought out the colours of the dress better.

As you read this, I’m already on holiday but I wanted to know if you guys would like outfit pictures while I’m here? I thought it would be cool just to have lots of instagram shots and a lookbook video? Which by the way, there may be another short break coming mid-Autumn that you’ll all be super excited to see the outcome of!

PAISLEY BELL SLEEVES.

paisley bell sleeved top // pretty little thing (here)+
denim shorts // pretty little thing (here)+
sandals // melissa (here)+

I'm still skirting around the seventies trend with caution, adding pieces slowly and keeping my distance from the full blown suede and fringing. Partially because it won't suit me but mostly because if worn, I'd want to do the era true justice. This top was one of my 'seventies without being seventies' pieces, featuring the classic bell sleeves and bardot style. I fell mostly with the print and the lose peplum style which brought it into a modern interpretation.

I styled the top with some simple denim shorts because I think it helps to bring out the colours, but I've also worn it with high waisted jeans and other alternate high-waist bottoms. The shoes also helped to bring out the colours with their vibrancy and I can't wait to get these on the beach. I think they'll be so comfortable for days roaming around.

I've pinned my summer lookbook below so you can see this outfit, but I've also added a short video to my instagram so you can see it in action there too. If it goes down well with you guys, I might start doing it for a majority of my outfits because I think its quite a cool idea.

FLOWER CROWNS AND GINGHAM PLAYSUITS.

flower crown // boohoo (here)+
gingham playsuit // missguided (here)
suede boots // look of the day (here)+

I'm so glad that the sun is finally shining again so I can bring my summer wardrobe back into play - especially this £8 bargain playsuit from Missguided. The smock style is lovely and allows for it to be more versatile transitioning into winter as I can just add some tights and chunky boots, or keep it simple in the summer. I'm definitely taking it on holiday with me so I can rock it with some jelly shoes and a nice (real) tan.

This outfit featured in my Summer Lookbook below, if you wanted to see it in motion!

EAT CLEAN TEA.

Over the last 8-10 weeks my health and fitness have become a very important part of my life. I used to be one of those girls who just ate anything and didn't bother with the gym or trying to exercise. I was lazy and used detox tea's to try and boost my body into giving off the appearance that I worked out. Eat Clean Tea appeared on my twitter feed one day and the concept struck me, its a detox matcha tea thats used as a detox but in a much better way than a teatox.

Matcha tea has 107x more power than regular green tea and promises much greater impacts on the body - although a clean diet and exercise of some kind are a great boost too. The tea gives you enhanced natural energy, helps metabolism speed up and all around improves your wellbeing. I personally loved that you only need half a teaspoon of the powder in the morning to get the benefits. Its much easier than remembering to drink 30 mins before each meal or drinking a tea at specific times of day.

I've been using the tea for 18 days now, having almost finished the packet and I'm so impressed with it. I drink the desired amount in a large mug as soon as I wake up and then eat my breakfast and get on with my day. As I was eating healthily and exercising before, I could truly judge that it boosted my energy even more-so. I'm much less sluggish and my workouts seem to be longer without fatigue. With weight loss and body shape, I can say that its helped my bloating and slightly toned my physique. Although due to my diet and fitness improving as well, its hard to tell how much of my shape changing was down to Eat Clean and how much was my exercising.

The initial concept of powdered tea might scare you, but its so easy to make and tastes exactly the same as green tea so it isn't too daunting and you get really used to it. I'm quite pleased at it and the fact that there is no laxative, so its more enjoyable.

NYX BUTTER LIPSTICKS.

NYX is a fairly untouchable brand here in England due to being so sparsely available. However at Beautycon, I was lucky enough to receive a big bag full to try out which instantly made me fall in love with the brand. Having never tried any lip products from NYX, I was intrigued by the Butter trio that I was given in my signature three shades - perfect.

The butters come in 22 shades, highly pigmented and in a unique packaging. I think the white writing and lipstick-coloured packaging makes them so easy to distinguish apart in my make-up bag. You can see the product through a smallish window of the stick which proves that the colour is exact. The three shades that I own are Hot Tamale, Sandy Kiss and Thunderstorm. Sandy Kiss is a lovely pinky-nude, Thunderstorm is a deep purple and Hot Tamale is a vibrant red-orange.

Upon applying the shades, its easy to see why they've been given such an obvious 'butter' name. They are smooth and feel moisturising on my lips, nicely changing the lightly tinted butters that I'm used to. I really like that they have a heavy colour payoff and don't need re-applying much throughout the day, keeping their vibrancy to last from day through to evening.

I want to try and get my hands on another couple of the shades that are more Autumnal like maybe purples, browns and darker nudes? I've discovered that Very.co.uk actually sells a few NYX products so I can't wait to browse for more. They're only

LEMON CO-ORDINATES.

choker // primark
co-ordinate top // missguided (here)+
co-ordinate skirt // missguided (here)+
bag // missguided (here)+
court heels // missguided (here)+

When it comes to Summer occasion wear, the outfit possibilities are so much better than Winter. You can add more colour, cuter styles and luckily you won't be freezing cold so its absolutely fine to wear something 'smaller'. This co-ord is from Missguided and the ladder detailing through the lace makes it so cute and the cut is great for emphasising your legs - if they're your best feature! I teamed it with this heavy choker from Primark and some white accessories so that the lemon yellow looks much brighter!

Apologies that this is a day late, I've had a bit of a hectic down time recently. My Grandad passed away semi-suddenly and he was like my best friend, so its not been the greatest time for me. However, he would have been so angry at me if I let my blog/youtube/uni down because of it. I'm keeping going but I wanted to mention it so you know why I've been slightly absent!
