When the colder weather approaches there is nothing I love more than a grunge style make-up look. Dark eyes, dark lips and some blushed cheeks are what Autumn is all about! Back at Beautycon, Tarte gifted me this eyeshadow quad from their Prismatic eye colour enhancing range and it instantly screamed Autumn at me.
I’ve never tried Tarte before Beautycon because its so hard to get hold of in the UK but I am a big fan, especially because its all natural and not tested on animals. This palette consists of four shades for your different sections of the eyelid to easily achieve a smokey eye. I think its quite a good idea because it gives you the shade and tells you the part of your eye it is applied to. The quad is meant for brown eyes, but mine are mid-green and they emphasise the colour beautifully.
The colour payoff is great, they are so well pigmented being bright enough to be seen but subtle enough to not be ‘too much’ which is ideal as you could layer them up for an evening. I personally love using the base colours individually for a natural make-up look too. As far as lastability (is this a real word?) goes, I’ve found them to be good but I use an eyeshadow primer before and a setting spray after to give my eye look an extra hold.
After a little browse on the internet, I’ve found this quad available in QVC and also on Amazon for a similar price.
