Over Cyber Weekend, there were several transactions out of my bank account to various places including MyProtein. Despite not having gone to the gym for a month or so, I am trying to get back into a routine and beginning with my diet and supplements.
MyProtein had 70% off everything over Cyber Weekend so I had to pick up a few supplements as well as a little pre-workout to get me back into the swing of it. The first was Zinc which was recommended to me as I don't eat meat. Zinc is a great anti-oxidant, helps to aid the immune system while improving sleep and mood. I was recommended to try it if I am looking to get 'lean and muscular' which is my overall aim. The second supplement was Omega 3, a must if you don't eat much fish. It helps to keep your heart healthy and supports joints which helps when you're working out lots.
The final thing I got was Caffeine powder, which is great for pre-workout but only in very small doses. Caffeine helps to get your blood pumping and ups energy levels which will make you work out harder and for longer. I am a firm believer in pre-workout shakes so this is going to be a welcome addition if it helps those early morning sessions.
