I’m still skirting around the seventies trend with caution, adding pieces slowly and keeping my distance from the full blown suede and fringing. Partially because it won’t suit me but mostly because if worn, I’d want to do the era true justice. This top was one of my ‘seventies without being seventies’ pieces, featuring the classic bell sleeves and bardot style. I fell mostly with the print and the lose peplum style which brought it into a modern interpretation.
I styled the top with some simple denim shorts because I think it helps to bring out the colours, but I’ve also worn it with high waisted jeans and other alternate high-waist bottoms. The shoes also helped to bring out the colours with their vibrancy and I can’t wait to get these on the beach. I think they’ll be so comfortable for days roaming around.
I’ve pinned my summer lookbook below so you can see this outfit, but I’ve also added a short video to my instagram so you can see it in action there too. If it goes down well with you guys, I might start doing it for a majority of my outfits because I think its quite a cool idea.
