Elizabeth Arden lipsticks are up with my all time favourites. Not only do they have the most gorgeous gold packaging, but the lipsticks themselves come in a beautiful range of colours. Since photographing and writing this post I have received two more so I’ll definitely be flaunting them soon.

The shades that I currently own are Nude, Bold Red and Red Door Red – two of which are matte shades and one is moisturising. I have to admit, matte lips are more favoured when it comes to everyday wear as they seem to last longer but Red Door Red is one of my ‘go to’ shades as its just so bold and vibrant. Plus they totally smell like chocolate so they are heavenly to use!

The matte lipsticks come in a range of six shades while the colour moisturising lipsticks come in a range of nineteen shades, both costing £21. The range of colours is good as you can pick up anything from a nude through to a vibrant red or dark purple. I’ve swatched a fair few and can safely say I’ll be picking up a few more in time.

So, what are they like? As a whole, fantastic. They glide on my lips so easily and even the matte shades I have found to be moisturising. The pigmentation is great as the colours are so vivid and bold with little application needed because they stay so well. I’m not one for lip liners and these barely need one anyway!

Finally we have to touch upon the packaging. Its so classic and glamorous, which makes me feel really classy having them in my handbag. Each has a cute little door embossed into the side of the actual lipstick which is a beautiful touch and brings life to the lipstick. I just think they’ve covered everything about the branding and part of me doesn’t want to use much of the lipstick because I want the door to stay intact!

I’d really recommend treating yourself to one (or more) of these lipsticks. The quality is amazing and they are well worth the price. I’ve even persuaded my boyfriends cousin Danni to pick some up too after she tried out mine!
